If price is your only concern in choosing an Inspector, I recommend that you contact the Texas Real Estate Commission or TREC at 512-459-6544 and ask them who has recently completed their “fast tract” to Home Inspector licensing and which multi-inspector firm they are working for. TREC has made it easy for anyone with no practical construction background or experience to become a licensed Professional Real Estate Inspector in a very short period of time.

The companies that hire these individuals will likely be willing to do the job at a ridiculously low price. If you want an Inspector that has passed the rigorous membership process of the American Society of Home Inspectors or ASHI, expect to pay for and receive a professional service.
