Please add this note to all of your other testimonials.  I feel extremely fortunate to have dealt with you.  Here’s what I tell my friends when they’re looking for a home inspector:

·        “Extra Mile” Service – On one house you inspected for me, you squeezed yourself through a very small hole to inspect the attic.  When your ladder couldn’t reach the roof, you drove around the neighborhood until you could look at the roof through binoculars.  You worked late into the night to produce a stunningly detailed report the next day.  You answered a bunch of follow-up questions even after you gave me your report and had been paid.  All of these are examples of how you give a level of service that is unfortunately rare in today’s economy.

·        “Rembrandt” Reports – I have seen the reports prepared by other inspectors.  Compared to yours, they are like finger-paints compared to a Rembrandt.  Your reports go through each area of a house and describe in detail the problems you have found.  The report includes pictures of the problems and even recommendations on how some flaws need to be corrected.  Based on your report, I was able to make an equally detailed offer to the owner of the house you inspected.  I adjusted the price to what I thought was fair and asked for repairs that would take care of the hidden flaws your report demonstrated.  When the owner declined my offer, I felt as though I managed to avoid a “money pit”  -  thanks to you.

·        Exceptional Professionalism – When dealing with other contractors, I have had the unpleasant experience of having to wait for them to come when they said they would and have had them wind up charging me much more than I expected.  By contrast, you were on time and billed me exactly what you had bid, even though the property turned out to have more challenges than you expected.  Recently, you bent over backwards to work through a scheduling problem on another house.  Your bottom line took a hit, but you treated me fairly and with grace.

In conclusion, I won’t even bid on a house until after you have inspected it.  I give you the highest possible recommendation.  I am confident that you will have many years of success.

This letter is to try and give due credit where credit is truly due. I am so grateful for the incredible inspection you performed on the property I was considering for purchase on the 6th of December. The unbelievably thorough job you did made it possible to procure a much more acceptable purchase price on a property that had many hidden flaws that I have no doubt would have surprised me, had I used a more "traditional" inspector. I now have the funds available to fix all of the most important details after we move in. I must tell you how every contractor that bid on three totally different structural subjects made a point to say how extraordinarily detailed your work was. Even the termite inspector said that your report was more thorough than any report his company had ever completed! The electrician kept asking to use your report as a reference for his bid. Not only did he do a highly professional job, his computerized methods are outstanding. Being in the technical industry myself, I know that his utilization of laptop, digital camera and printer is state-of-the-art and very effective for the customers during a sometimes stressful experience.

He generated the inspection report and digital photo exhibits real-time, during the inspection.  Then he utilized the results immediately to walk us through everything with his computer first and then through the property. He even knew enough to have an active matrix display for the customers viewing benefit (often overlooked).

To top it all off, he perused newsgroups several times to research the roof situation for a possible manufactures defect AFTER receiving payment and is keeping me updated. This has enabled both sides to address the inspection issues objectively in an urgent timeframe.
